Learn to Drive with Frank is a new driving instructor business, launched just a few months ago. With no visuals in place at the start, we built the brand from the ground up, creating a clear and approachable identity that reflects Frank’s personality.

the challange

Frank came to me at the very beginning of his journey, without a clear idea of how his brand should look – just a sense of wanting it to feel right. We talked about first impressions and how important it is for people to feel comfortable and confident from the very first touchpoint. Together, we decided to step away from the usual driving instructor clichés like cars, wheels, or roads, and instead create a modern, friendly identity that feels approachable, trustworthy, and easy to connect with.

my approach

Because this is a personal brand, it made sense to build it around Frank himself. People connect with faces much more easily, especially when they’re choosing someone they need to trust. Frank has a very friendly, approachable look, and I wanted to capture that in the brand. Using him as a subtle mascot helped the identity feel more personal, welcoming, and easy to recognise from the first impression.
